The SIT revealed that Kharat often threatened women that if they refused to comply with his demands, he would use his supposed supernatural powers to harm their families or ruin their social reputation.
This fear-driven manipulation became the cornerstone of his exploitation strategy, allowing him to control victims psychologically and isolate them from seeking help.
Use of Rituals, Objects and ‘Divine Tricks’
The investigation has further uncovered that Kharat used elaborate rituals and symbolic objects to reinforce his claims of supernatural abilities. Items such as stones and tamarind seeds were allegedly used during these rituals to create an illusion of divine invocation and instill fear among victims.
