Odisha Govt Plans to Add More ICU Beds in Public Hospitals

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is planning to increase number of ICU beds in state-run hospitals.

Health & Family Welfare Minister Pratap Jena said that new ICU will be set up with more number of beds at all public hospitals, such as Capital Hospital, Sisu Bhawan and Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Institute.

Considering the increasing number of patients at the state-run hospitals, the government is planning to add more ICU beds in order to provide better healthcare services to the people.

A meeting in this regard has been held at State Secretariat on Tuesday.

Presiding over the meeting, the health minister insisted officials to complete projects in time and to expedite the universal eye healthcare programme in the State.
