Odisha CM Approves 1,473 Development Projects Under ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikas’ Scheme

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved 1,473 development projects worth Rs. 37 crore to be implemented in 166 gram panchayats (GPs) under the ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana’ (Our village, Our development).

The Chief Minister has so far approved as many as 37, 331 development projects worth Rs. 919 crore for 4,054 gram panchayats (GPs) in 184 blocks across the State, an official statement said.

Naveen launched the program on 5 March this year with an aim to directly reach out to the people at the grassroots level and involve them in the development process.

On Thursday, the Chief Minister sanctioned Rs. 37 crore for nine blocks in 8 districts, such as Bargarh, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Cuttack, Angul, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj.

As per the requirements of the people he sanctioned Rs. 4.60 crore for 221 projects in 26 GPs of Narla block in Kalahandi District, Rs. 8.765 crore for 403 projects in 35 GPs of Salepur block in Cuttack District, Rs. 4.20 core for 164 projects in 17 GPs of Saraskana block in Mayurbhanj District, Rs. 3.5475 crore for 144 projects in 15 GPs of Tentulikhunti block in Nabrangpur District, Rs. 5.25 crore for 136 project in 21 GPs of Talcher block in Angul District, Rs. 3.01 crore for 84 projects in 14 GPs of K. Nuagaon block in Kandhamal District, Rs. 2.24 crore for 81 projects in 10 GPs of Jamda block of Mayurbhanj District, Rs. 2.585 crore for 221 projects of 15 GPs of Bhatli block in Bargarh District, Rs. 2.44 crore for 119 projects in 13 GPs of Padmapur block of Rayagada District.
