BPIA Announces Direct Flights from Bhubaneswar to Ahmedabad from Septembe

Bhubaneswar: Keeping in the view of growing demand of the flyers, the Biju Patnaik International Airport announced direct flights from the state capital to Ahmedabad from 1 September.

As per sources, the flight will depart from Bhubaneswar at 11. 50 am and reach Ahmedabad at 2.10 pm. The return flight will leave from Ahmedabad at 8.55 am and reach Bhubaneswar at 11.20 am.

The direct flight service will be available thrice in a week – Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has also announced its winter schedule plan. As per plan, the total number of daily flights operation at BPIA will increase to 68 from 42, revealed BPIA Director Suresh Chandra Hota.

The direct flight service between Bhubaneswar and Coimbatore will also be started under the Udan regional connectivity scheme of the AAI. The flight services from Bhubaneswar to Raipur, Rourkela and Jharsuguda will also commence in the winter session under the scheme.

India’s low-cost airline IndiGo will also begin its operations between Bhubaneswar and Ahmedabad within few days, Hota added.
