Odisha: Weatherman Issues Heavy Rain Warning for 18 Districts

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Department Bhubaneswar has issued a heavy rainfall warning for 18 districts of Odisha in the next 48 hours due to a low pressure over the North Bay of Bengal.

As per the Regional Meteorological Department Bhubaneswar, a low pressure has been formed over North West Bay of Bengal and the neighborhood. A cyclonic circulation extending up to 4.5 km above the mean sea level also persists.

In the effect of the system, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagtsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Ganjam, Gajapati, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, and Kandhamal will receive heavy rainfall in the next 48 hours.

Some parts of these districts may receive very heavy rainfall due to low pressure. The Weather Centre has issued warning to the above 18 districts.

All the district administrations have been asked by the State Government to stay alert to deal with any emergency situation.
