Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has arrested Seashore chit fund accused Subhankar Nayak on the charge of misbehaving with a woman and assaulting her son on 2 September 2018 night.
The matter came into light when the woman and her son lodged an FIR against him at the Kharavela Nagar police station.
As per the complaint filed by the woman, Subhankar allegedly entered the woman’s house and abused the woman and assaulted her son. After the incident, the woman informed the police control room by dialing 100 on late night of Sunday.
Acting on the complaint filed by the woman, police picked up Subhankar from his residence at Chandrama Apartment on 2 September 2018. The woman later lodged a written FIR at the police station.
Police have registered a case under Indian Penal Code, and investigating the matter.
Notably, Subhankar was arrested by CBI on 18 November 2014, for his alleged link with Seashore chit fund fraud. He had got bail on 1 August 2017 from the Odisha High Court.
