Odisha Cabinet Approves Tata Projects’ Bid to Construct Bhawanipatna Medical College

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet today approved ten important proposals including Tata Projects Ltd’s bid to construct the 100-seated government-run medical college at Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district.

As per media reports, three bidders NCC Ltd, Shapoorji Pallorji and Co Pvt Ltd and Tata Projects were technically qualified in the tender process for the construction of the Bhawanipatna medical college entailing an investment of Rs 202.39 crore.

Among the three companies, Tata Projects stood lowest with a bid value of Rs 2,20,73,98,218.

The State Cabinet approved the tender works for the construction of the proposed medical college on turnkey basis. The work will be completed in two years of time without any price escalation, sources said.

Other projects that got the Cabinet approval include massive plantation along the both sides of the banks of Brahmani, Baitarani and Rushikulya rivers and LED street lights in all the urban local bodies (ULBs) on PPP mode.

The Odisha Cabinet also approved the proposal with regard to the tender works for ‘Construction of Multi Utility Complex and PG Students’ Hostel at Sardar Vallav Bhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Paediatrics (SVPPGIP), Shisu Bhawan, Cuttack on Turnkey Basis’.
