Puri: The newly appointed OPCC chief Niranjan Patnaik visited Lord Jagannath Temple here along with his team today and offered prayer to the deities.
An otherwise spirited looking Patnaik expressed his hope for the elevation of the Congress party in the state in the coming days, soon after the visit and came down heavily upon the ruling BJD party in the state. He said the BJD has disappointed youths, farmers, women, tribals and dalits of the state during its past 18 years rule. But at the same time Patnaik assured people that the situation would start changing now.
