I’d gather the same crowd at a paan shop: Lalu Prasad mocks PM Modi, Nitish Kumar’s Patna rally

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s mega rally in Patna saying he would have gathered a bigger crowd just by stopping at a ‘paan shop’.

“Narendra Modi, Nitish aur Paswanji ne mahino zor laga sarkari tantra ka upyog kar Gandhi Maidan mein utni bheed jutaayi hai jeetni hum paan khaane agar paan ki gumti par gadi rok dete toh ikattha ho jaati hai. Jao re Modi, aur jatan karo, camera aur thoda zoom karwao,” Lalu Prasad wrote on Twitter.

(Narendra Modi, Nitish and Paswanji have put in a lot of effort and government resources to get this crowd at Gandhi Maidan today. But I would have gathered the same crowd if I had stopped for a paan at a paan shop. Modi, put some more effort, zoom your cameras a little more)

The NDA on Sunday addressed the Sankalp rally in Patna, with PM Modi, CM Nitish Kumar and alliance partner Ram Vilas Paswan in attendance.

Union ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad, Radha Mohan Singh, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Bihar BJP in-charge Bhupendra Yadav, Bihar BJP chief Nityanand Rai, Bihar JD(U) chief Bashishtha Narayan Singh, Bihar minister and state president of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Pashupati Kumar Paras, ministers Mangal Pandey, Nand Kishore Yadav and a host of other NDA leaders also attended the Sankalp rally.

Lalu Prasad also poked fun at the NDA stalwarts and their rally saying PM Modi should ask his supporters to zoom their cameras to show a larger crowd.
