Bhubaneswar: A bank manager of Utkal Gramya Bank was shoot at by two miscreants inside the bank in Titlagarh District on Friday.
The injured manager has been identified as Koshal Dora of Bijepur Gramya Bank of Titlagarh District. He sustained injuries in his stomach and thigh.
He was rushed to the Titlagarh Community Health Centre in critical condition and later sifted to Balangir District Headquarter Hospital.
As per the sources, two miscreants wearing masks entered the bank and initially sought details for opening new account and procedure for loan. Suddenly one of them tried to strangulate the bank manager and the other miscreant fired three rounds at the manager.
The accused fled the spot after the incident. On the basis of the CCTV footage and eye witnesses, the police have initiated an investigation in to the matter. The exact amount of cash robbed during the loot is yet to be ascertained.
