Kendrapada: Even as the general election approaching fast and with the run up to the poll, the protest against the BJP national vice president and Kendrapada Lok Sabha candidate is gaining momentum. A section of his party leaders and members have already threatedn to throw eggs at him protesting his candidature.
The protest from within party is seen as major setback to the Panda at a time when he is trying to put his best foot forward to gain ground in Kendrapada.
The protesters have also burnt the effigy of Panda at the strategic locations of the constituency. Meanwhile, the protesters have also reportedly finalising their strategy to intensify their agitation.
The protesters have turned dissident after Bijay Kumar Pradhan made official candidate from the Mahaklalapada constiotuency under the influence of Baijayant Panda.
The protesters took to street and burnt effigy at different places of Mahakalapada constituency.
Even as efficient and experience and popular leaders are there in Mahakalapada, how come a person who have jumped from one party to another at least 10 times got the party ticket, said a protester.
They have alleged that it is due to the handy work of Panda, local leaders and workers are being side-lined just ahead of poll.
The protesters of also threatened to intensify agitation if the official party candidate from Mahakalapada is not replaced with a local leader.
At a time when the Panda is already facing heat of Ollywood superstar Anuvab Moghanty in the current poll, Congress has fielded heavyweight Dharani Dhar Nayak, a sharp lawyer has definitely put the Panda on tizzy and definitely he is going to have difficult time due to party dissidents and protest within party.
It is very interesting to watch who panda negotiate all these road block in the run up to poll.
