Naveen to attend Odisha Mahotsav in Surat

Bhubaneswar: After Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has set its sight on Surat in Gujarat, wheremore than seven lakh Odias reside with their families.

BJD president and Chief Minister NaveenPatnaik will be visiting Surat to address Odisha Mahotsav being hosted by Surat Pravasi Odia Samaja on December 17.

The function will be organised at Rajwadi Parti plot, Amreli in Surat at 4 pm.

With general and assembly elections round the corner, both the parties are trying to woo the voters in various ways.

Earlier, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan attended Odisha Parba held in Surat in September.

In Surat, about seven lakh people from Odisha, mainly from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s home district Ganjam, areresiding.
