Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today made it very clear that if there are five or more than five shops in a building, it will be considered as a market complex.
Briefing the media, BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary said, standalone (single-unit) shops in Bhubaneswar can remain open with social distancing.
Under no circumstances tea stall, paan shop, salon or barber shops, beauty parlours alcohol or foreign liquor shops can operate.
The Corporation has allowed standalone jewellery shops and garment shops to remain open.
The shops are above allowed to remain open from 8 am to 6 pm everyday in the week, he added.
The shops dealing with essential commodities will not be restricted.
