Cuttack: Secretary 5T Initiatives, V K Pandian today made an early morning surprise visit to the Mahanadi Bed area along with the ghat area to have an on the ground review of the various issues. This comes at a time when there are reports coming that the government is contemplating announcing a package to develop the Mahanadi river front in Cuttack as major tourist attraction.
The 5T Secretary also held a meeting with the Irrigation Secretary Surendra Kumar and other officials of the Water Resources department, Revenue Divisional Commissioner, Cuttack Collector and Commissioner of Police. He also visited the Maritime Museum.
During the early morning surprise visit to Cuttack, Pandian also visited the SCB Medical College and discussed the various issues related to the development work of the new SCB complex.
