On Wednesday, social media was abuzz with rumours of actor Prabhas being cast in Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 7. It all started with a viral Twitter post that claimed that Prabhas was roped in by director Christopher McQuarrie to play a ‘significant’ role in the film.
And that should put an end to the rumours.
Prabhas is currently working on mythological drama Adipurush, directed by Om Raut. Adipurush is an on-screen adaptation of the Ramayana epic and features Prabhas as Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan in the role of Lankesh. Backed by T-Series, Adipurush is described as a film celebrating “the victory of good over evil”. The film is Raut’s follow-up project to his blockbuster movie Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, starring Ajay Devgn and Khan, which released last year.
While he‘s a very talented man, we’ve never met.

Adipurush is slated to be released in theatres on August 11, 2022. The film’s shooting was halted due the lockdown amid the second wave of COVID-19.
Prabhas will also be seen in romantic drama Radhe Shyam, opposite Pooja Hegde.
