Veteran actor Ramesh Bhatkar passes away at 70

Mumbai: Veteran Marathi actor Ramesh Bhatkar passed away on Monday after battling lung cancer for a long time. He was 70.

Bhatkar was known for his role in investigative television series Commander.
He was associated with Hindi and Marathi entertainment industry and was also a noted theatre artist. Apart from Commander, he was also part of DD Metro’s Hello Inspector, Marathi TV show Damini and many more TV series.

According to reports, Bhatkar was battling cancer for more than one and a half year and was being treated in a hospital in Mumbai when he passed away.

Bhatkar’s last rites will be held at 10.30 pm at Shivaji Park, sources said.
