Bhubaneswar: A temple priest has allegedly made the sex video of a woman viral in the city. The victim woman has filed a case against the accused with the Mahila Police here.
As per alleged by the woman, the victim had gone to the house of a temple priest identified as Saroj Das of Jharpada to mortgage her gold ornaments recently. However, Das offered her drinking water by spiking it. When she fell unconscious, the temple priest molested her and recorded the act with his mobile phone and made it viral.
When the victim noticed the viral video fearing her in an intimate moment with the priest, she filed a police complaint demanding arrest of the accused.
Meanwhile, police have began investigation into the matter by recording the woman’s statement.
Even though the Odisha police had earlier issued advisory to curb circulation of obscene/sex videos, there is no stopping to such clips getting viral on social media in the state. Recently, such video featuring a female dancer of the state and a youth had gone viral.
On April 16, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had informed the state Assembly that at least 31 objectionable videos were made viral on various social media platforms in the state in the past three months.
