Odisha: Woman Maoist Surrenders in Koraput

Koraput: A hardcore woman Maoist cadre has shunned the path of violence and surrendered before the police in Odisha’s Koraput district.

The Maoist, identified as Tulasi Ulaka was carrying a cash reward of Rs 4 lakh on her head. She was an active member of Narayanpatna Area Committee, AOBSZC of CPI (Maoist) organisation, according to reports.

Ulaka surrendered before Koraput SP Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo.

She will be provided assistance as per Surrender and Rehabilitation Scheme of Government of Odisha and financial assistance for building house, pursuing studies and training in a trade/vocational of her liking, sources said.
