Odisha Govt-Run Schools to Maintain uniform Signboards, Nameplates in Odia

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to make a uniform sign board in Odia language for all state government-run schools, the Odisha Government has issued a specific guidelines to install the mandatory sign boards and name plate uniformly throughout the State.

The state government has instructed all the government-run primary schools, upper primary schools, nodal upper primary schools and high schools to follow the guidelines.

The guidelines are as follws;

All contents should be written in Odia. The style and colour has to be same.

The first line has to be written in Odia. English or any other language can be used subsequently but in size smaller as compare to the first line.

The background should be in Terracotta colour and words written in white.

The signboard of the schools should be displayed in front of the building.

The name of the government school, number of classrooms and the foundation date should be mentioned in the nameplates of the schools.

The Mass and Education Department directed Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Directorate of Secondary Education, Directorate of Elementary Education, OPEPA, and Odisha Madhyamik Shikshya Mission have also been asked to follow these instructions.
