Odisha CM Grants Rs 29.50 Cr For 108 GPs Under Ama Gaon, Ama Bikas

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday instantly sanctioned Rs 29.50 crore for 108 Gram Panchayats (GPs) of four blocks for the rural projects which were proposed by the villagers.

According to reports, Patnaik sanctioned Rs 8.12 crore for 32 GPs under Rangeilunda Block in Ganjam district and Rs 4.38 crore for 15 GPs under Lamataput Block in Koraput district.

Likewise, the Chief Minister also granted Rs 9 crore for 36 GPs under Chandbali Block in Bhadrak district and Rs 8 crore for 25 GPs under Sadar Block in Jajpur district.

The state government’s flagship rural development programme was launched by the CM on the occasion of the Panchayati Raj Divas this year, which commemorates the birth centenary of legendary statesman Biju Babu on March 5.
