Bhadrak: Four houses were gutted in a fire mishap that broke out at Nandipur village under Dhamnagar block in Bhadrak district last night.
Sources said properties worth lakhs were reduced to ashes in the mishap. Fortunately, no casualty has been reported.
According to sources, the fire erupted at one house in the village and later it engulfed the nearby houses within a few minutes. On being informed, fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flames after hours of ordeal.
Though the exact reason behind the mishap is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that an electrical short circuit might have triggered the fire.
