CM Naveen Patnaik Congratulates Saurabh Chaudhary for Winning Gold at Asian Games 2018

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated teen shooter Saurabh Chaudhary, who scripted an Asian Games record score of 240.7 to clinch the gold medal in Men’s 10m Air Pistol final at the Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister also congratulated Abhishek Verma for winning bronze at the mega sporting event.

Naveen tweeted, “Congratulate young #SaurabhChaudhary on winning Gold at #AsianGames2018 in 10m Air Pistol event, with an #AsianGames record. Congratulations Abhishek Verma on winning the Bronze, a triumphant double for India. Future of Indian competitive shooting!”

Previously, India has won three medals in shooting at the Asian Games 2018 – Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar opened the account with a bronze in 10m Air Rifle Team event, Deepak Kumar won silver in 10m Air Rifle individual event and 18-year old Lakshay clinched the silver medal in Men’s Trap.
