Srikant Jena, Krushna Sagaria expelled from Congress

On Saturday Congress expelled former Union Minister Srikant Jena and ex-MLA Krushna Chandra Sagaria for alleged anti-party activities.

They have been dismissed from the primary membership of the Congress following the approval of AICC.

Odisha Pradesh Congress disciplinary committee convenor Ananta Sethi informed that Jena and Sagaria have been expelled on charges of anti-party activities and issuing statements in media causing damage to the Congress.

They also issued statements against the OPCC office bearers, said Sethi.

Jena had earlier resigned from all party posts in December 2018. Koraput MLA Sagaria had formally resigned from MLA post on November 6, 2018.
