Congress Releases MP Manifesto on ‘Historic Day’; Gaushalas, Sops for Farmers Among Promises

New Delhi: Highlighting its farmer-friendly approach, Congress on Saturday announced to reduce the electricity rates of Madhya Pradesh crop growers by 50% along with provision of a gaushala or cow shelter in every gram panchayat.

Releasing the party’s manifesto, MPCC chief Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia further promised to waive off crop loans if Congress comes to power after the assembly elections.

“An unemployed member of every family will be given Rs 10,000, while Rs 51,000 will be contributed for the marriage of our daughters,” Kamal Nath said. The party also promised to reduce diesel and petrol rates.

The state will go to polls on November 28 and counting of votes will take place on December 11.
