Rewari Gang Rape: Another Accused Arrested from Odisha

Gopalpur: In a major development to the Rewari gang rape case, Haryana Police on Tuesday arrested another Army man allegedly involved in the case from Odisha’s Gopalpur.

The arrested person has been identified as Naveen alias Miku, a native of Nuagaon village in Mahendragarh district of Haryana. He was undergoing training at Golabandha Army Air Defence College at Gopalpur.

As per sources, Naveen is the fourth accused in the case. After the incident, he left the place and did not inform anyone about the incident.

He has joined the army six month ago, he was undergoing basic military training at Army Air Defence (AAD) training centre at Gopalpur.

After his arrest, he was produced before the duty magistrate and sent to 10 days police remand. He will be produced again before the duty magistrate on 5 October.

Earlier, on 23 September, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) had arrested prime accused Nishu, Army jawan Pankaj and his friend Manish in connection with the case.
