NRI murder in California: Police confirm identity of body

California: The abduction and alleged murder of the CEO of a digital marketing company in California came to light on Tuesday. Tushar Atre went missing from his house in California at around 3 am. He was abducted in a white BMW car which happens to be owned by his friend.

The Santa Cruz police got a 911 call from the 50-year-old tech executive’s house on Tuesday. When the police reached the spot, Tushar Atre was not at home. Within a few hours, the police found a car near Silicon Valley with a body. 

The police later confirmed that the body found in the four-wheeler was of the 50-year-old tech executive. Authorities said, “We have some unfortunate news. While the body has been recovered, the cause of death has not to been ascertained yet. Some police officials familiar with the case have said that Atre had been abducted from his house by more than one person. 

Atre studied at New York University. He studied literature but found his calling in technology. He began working at a company in Silicon Valley in the 1990s and later started his own company.
