Rs 7.8L Looted From Toll Plaza Employee At Gun Point In Odisha

Rourkela: Three armed unidentified miscreants looted Rs 7.8 lakh from a toll plaza employee at gun point near Jhagarpur in Rajagangapur Tehsil of Sundargarh district on Wednesday.

According to reports, an employee of the Rajgangpur toll plaza was intercepted by three bike-borne miscreants while he was on his way to a bank to deposit the cash. All of a sudden, one of them brandished a gun at the toll plaza employee identified as John Binay Lakra while another snatched away the bag and fled with the cash.

Police rushed to the spot after getting information about the crime and questioned some eyewitnesses who said that the bike bore a number plate of Jharkhand and the miscreants were speaking in Hindi.

Police have lodged an FIR and investigation into the incident is on.
