Nuapada: A woman Maoist cadre, who was carrying a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh on her head, today surrendered before the Odisha Police.
The cadre, identified as Dalmati Paharia alias Madhuri from Nuapada District decided to shun violence and surrendered before the Superintendent of Police (SP).
Paharia used to work for Sinapali LOS, an outlawed CPI (M)’s Mainpur-Nuapada division, since June 2018, police sources said.
She left the outfit due to step-motherly attitude of Maoist leaders towards Odisha cadre Maoists, the cadre said.
She was forcibly inducted in the group, Paharia added.
Dalmati will be rehabilitated as per the Rehabilitation Scheme of the State Government, police said.
