Gold Worth Rs. 10.56 Lakh Seized at Bhubaneswar Airport, 2 Persons Held

Bhubaneswar: The Custom officials seized gold worth Rs.10. 56 lakh from two passengers at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here today.

The Air Intelligence Unit of Customs Department seized four cylindrical gold bars weighing 340 grams and held two passengers of Indian origin in this connection.

As per sources, the seized gold was being smuggled from Kuala Lumpur to Chennai via Bhubaneswar.

The officials recovered the gold from their baggage trolley wheels, after thorough checking.

Both the suspects were detained for further questioning.
