‘Cash transfers under KALIA scheme to continue till March 31’


Bhubaneswar: With the general elections on the anvil, the Odisha government today stated that beneficiaries of the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme will get cash transfers till March 31.

Citing that 1-2% farmers of the State have been left out under the KALIA scheme, Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera said the government will take necessary steps to include these farmers under the State-sponsored scheme.

Cm Naveen Patnaik alleged that some people are maligning ‘KALIA YOJANA’ as a loan scheme, urged people to not to believe such rumours. He also emphasized that this yojana will not stopped in any situation.
