India win 1st ever bilateral ODI series in Australian soil

Melbourne: India chased down 231 against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to win their first ever bilateral ODI series in Australian soil on Friday.

MS Dhoni with (87 not out) scored his 70th half-century while Yuzvendra Chahal became the first spinner in history to take six wickets in an ODI in Australia.
With this, Dhoni became the Man of the series while Chahal was the Man of the match.

After losing the first ODI in Sydney, India bounced back to win the second match in Adelaide by 6 wickets and the series decider in Melbourne by 7 wickets.

India dealt an early blow after Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, and later Kohli’s dismissal. However, the innings of Dhoni and Kedar helped India to close the match and win the bilateral ODI series.
