Bhubaneswar: A team of Excise officials seized 83 grams of brown sugar worth Rs 8 lakh from the possession of an engineering student in the Odisha capital on Wednesday.
During a surprise raid on Salia Sahi slum in Nayapalli area here, the excise officials seized 83 grams of brown sugar from Pritish Patnaik, a B.Tech-pass student.
The sleuths also seized a bike from his possession.
The team is further interrogating the engineering student to get more information on the business of brown sugar in Bhubaneswar.
